Dr Elizabeth Jones
Elizabeth Jones obtained her PhD in 2005 at Caltech on the subject of Chemical Engineering assessing the role of hemodynamic forces in early blood vessel remodeling. In 2005 she obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship (Marie Curie Mobility Incoming International Fellowship) in Pr Anne Eichmanns group at College de France in Paris to coninue her work on flow-dependent vascular remodeling . In 2007, she joined the Dept of Chemical Engineering, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, first as Assistant Professor and from 2013 as an Associate Professor (Canada Research Chair), further investigating flow mechanics.
In 2014, Dr Jones returned to Europe for a position as Associate Professor at the Dept of Cardiovascular Science, KU Leuven, Belgium. She is an Expert on vascular biomechanics & glycocalyx remodeling, and cardiac inflammation.
